I have a 3570 I need to share between 2 machines. The drive currently works great on both boxes, but I have to remove the back cover and move the cable from one system to another to do this. I'd like to use an A/B switch to easily do this. The connection is SCSI cable. A few questions: 1. Would there be any signal loss using an A/B switch. 2. Can I use any SCSI cable, or do I have to use an "official" IBM cable. 3. Does anyone have an extra SCSI cable or SCSI switch box they are interested in selling? TIA. cjg Carl J.
