This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I found what you are talking about. Thank you. However turning that on didn't seem to make the difference. Wait, now I found something else. In V5R2 of iSeries Access, Run Sql Scripts, Connection, JDBC setup, Translation, "Translate CCSID 65535". That did it. Thanks, you did, kind of, point me. Rob Berendt -- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Look for a system ODBC datasource named QDSN_machine-name (where, of course, machine name is the system name of your AS400). Edit it (configure button). Go to the translation tab and check the "convert binary (CCSID 65535) to text" checkbox. hth Pete Hall pbhall@ameritech.net http://www.ameritech.net/users/pbhall/index.html _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
