I did that, but there is no description of those fax return codes.

The Fax Adapter/Modem return codes are X'FFFE' X'0019' X'0000'.

DSPMSGD RANGE(FAXC708) MSGF(QFAX/QFAXMSG)
Message . . . . :   A fax communications failure occurred while processing

  SNDFAX request to telephone number &11.
Cause . . . . . :   While attempting to send spooled file &9 number &17
from
  job &8/&7/&6 to telephone number &11, a fax communications failure
occurred.
Recovery  . . . :   Retry the SNDFAX request at a later time.  Before the

  error occurred &14 pages were sent.  The Fax Adapter/Modem return codes
are
  X'&2' X'&3' X'&4'.
Technical description . . . . . . . . :   Fax controller module I.D. is
X'&5'.

      Is that from Fax/400 ? Your application library will contain one or
more  message file/s.

WRKMSGF   Faxlibrary/*ALL

So if that shows, say, a msgf called  FAXMSGS
just enter DSPMSGD RANGE(FAXC708) MSGF(FAXMSGS)
