Checking tapes.

We have a little program that does a CHKTAP and emails us the volume id.
If it cannot allocate the tape or something it let's us know the error. We
run this every day via WRKJOBSCDE about an hour before going.  I don't
know how many times it's saved our bacon when we:
 Have the previous day's tape in
 Forgot to load a tape
 Someone else is using the tape drive
 The drive is failed or varied off.
Quite simple, willing to share.
