The question is how did the programmer modify the code.  Some programmers
are familiar with proprietary sets of escape characters that make stuff
like OCR work, and they don't use "normal" IPDS techniques.

Ok, this can't be that hard...

I have a client with a pair of IBM InfoPrint 1145 printers. We have
installed the IPDS card in the printer and PSF on the iSeries. The
programmer says he's has modified the RPG program to print the required
line in OCR, but the everything still comes out normal.

What am I missing?
