Well said David. With all that we complain about on a daily basis, and many of us have much to complain about, what I'd like to take from this day is not how put upon we are as individuals, a country or a civilization as a whole, but to how thankful we all should be for what we have. This time last year, i was in the first week of returning to work after a 3 month recovery from surgery for a brain aneurysm (yes, a brain aneurysm). This year, i'm working on my 2nd divorce. The economy is bad, and my long-term job security has never been more shakey in 20 years. And I won't go into the little trouble in I had with the delivery of some kitchen appliances last week ;) But with all of that, I'm healthy now, I have a job now, I have good friends and loving family. I have a 9 year old boy who I adore, is smarter than I am, and loves me unconditionally. I have a roof over my head (even though I don't have an oven or a stove). I truly consider myself one of the most fortunate people I know. And I would venture to guess that most of us on this list would fall in the 95 percentile of fortunate people on the planet. I hope that I never lose sight of that fact, and it's my wish that all of you find your way to see all of the blessings of your lives each and every day. peace, rick
