I see a lot of confusion in this thread. It used to be 2 database catalogs in the AS/400-iSeries: The OS version in QSYS (PFs/LFs named QADB*) The SQL version in QSYS2 (mostly SQL views on the QADB* files, some additionals SQL tables, named SYS*). In V5R2, it has been added 2 new catalogs: The JDBC/ODBC version in SYSIBM (mostly SQL views on the QSYS2 SQL views, some additional tables, named SQL*) The ANS/ISO version in QSYS2 and SYSIBM (SQL views, named with no specific prefix, like TABLES, COLUMNS, ...and so on, and 3 SQL tables (SQL_FEATURES, SQL_LANGUAGES and SQL_SIZING)). Be careful, most of the SQL views/tables have 2 names (SQL name and System name). HTH Richard THEIS iSeries Education, France theis_richard@fr.ibm.com
