You can do it all from the AS/400 provided you are suitably authorised.
The command is Start Communications Trace (STRCMNTRC).  Print
Communications Trace (PRTCMNTRC) lets you print the data or create an
outfile.

The STRCMNTRC command allows you to filter by IP Protocol, Remote IP
Address, Remote MAC Address, and much more.  The only difficulty is that
the AS/400 is an EBCDIC machine and most TCP traffic is ASCII so you spend
lots of time deciphering hexadecimal.
