As for the QDSCJOBITV. you are correct. if a disconnected job is idle for that amout of the time the job is cancelled. I believe that you actually see a message in the QSYSOPR message queue when that happens. As for the QDEVRCYACN. I "think" that the options DSCMSG and MSG allow for your application to get the message and take the appropriate action, ie. graceful shutdown of the application, ect. ------------------------- Bryan Dietz 3X Corporation 614-410-9205 =========================== thanks a lot bryan... Does this mean the job stays disconnected for that length of time then dies?
