btrieve to (eventually) db2/400

hello all,

a potential client has a need to convert the master files and possibly
accounting application data from Solomon IV (a LAN-based Great Plains
package which I believe uses Btrieve as its database engine) to CMS/400 (an
iSeries
ERP).

We haven't had much of a chance to explore Solomon's export functions, a
cursory review didn't reveal any good support for export to common file
formats (eg. Excel, CSV, etc).

Does anyone have any specific experience with conversions from Solomon?

Or, does anyone know of cheap/free product that could potentially query
Btrieve database files and export them to Excel, CSV, fixed-length ASCII,
etc?
