It may be configured to just talk to the v5r1 machine. Check out the IP addresses being used. The remote machine will use the PPP address to access the v5r1 machine. The token ring connection will probably be on a different subnet to the PPP link. You will either need to: 1) have the remote machine configured to reach the v4r5 machine via the v5r1 machine 2) configure NAT on the v5r1 machine to present the same address (but a different port) whether the session is started from either machine. -- Mike Buglass
