RE: Copy a file from IFS to an NT box on network

Rick,

Yes, a solution exists.  Your iSeries can participate in a Microsoft
peer-to-peer sharing network over TCP/IP.  The Win2k server would define
a shared folder on one of its drives.  The iSeries would reference that
share in the QNTC file system.  Security can get sticky and you're
better off having the program which copies from the iSeries to the Win2k
box run under a profile/password which is defined on both boxes.

Check the section on the QNTC (page 70) file system in the manual at the
URL below.  It should give you a good introduction and may be enough to
get the whole job done.
