Barb, It almost sounds like the Viewer cannot distinguish the level of the object and caches the overlay locally so it gets stuck the first time through. We usually do a print since our printers all react to the HPT a little differently, particularly the HP5000's that print sideways, so some non-intuitive tweaking of the overlay is necessary. We still do have a problem in getting the overlay to register properly on a adobe pdf file. Both spool explorer and gumbo seem to lose something in the translation. I usually figure that this is due to the mix of positional vs line oriented spacing. Glad you got it fixed and you may want to report the problem to IBM if you are on maintenance. Regards Konrad
