RE: External modem on 2771 card not working

I think the 2771 has one async-only modem and one RS232V24 port that can be
used to run sync or async. It shoudl be able to do what you are trying to
do.

Make sure you are using the correct cable and make sure you are using the
correct resource name that refers to the comm port (not the internal modem).

Your errors describe V.25 problems. Is it possible that when you
disconnected the hardware to move it, the modem got reset and is not longer
properly configured for sync mode and V25bis dialing?
