Yes this is the first time the port has been used at all. What options in SST would I use to "bring it down and bring it back up"? Our business partner ordered the cable for us (When we learned that we never got them as part of the 620 to 820 upgrade). As I recall, the communications resources showed up on the older machines as generic ports until they actually had a cable attached and the hardware was cycled. Is this the first time you have attached a cable to this port? If it is, perhaps you could use the service tools to bring down the card and bring it back up again. Also, what kind of cable are you using? Did it come with the 820?
