This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Jeff, I am running V5R1 on my iSeries at cume TL02134. My client is V5R1 with Service Pack SI02795. And I seem to be humming along happily. I checked out the joblog of that job you mentioned. Your messages seem usual and customary (except for that last one, CPFB9A1). This is what I have: >> QSYS/CALL PGM(QSYSDIR/QYPSJSVR) Job 974123/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974118/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974114/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974125/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974116/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974117/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974119/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974120/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Job 974122/QUSER/QSQSRVR used for SQL server mode processing. Management Central server McServer on port 5544 started. Object QYPSJDTAQ in library QUSRSYS not found. Object QYPSJDTAQ type *DTAQ created in library QUSRSYS. How about the following: Q: How do I start and/or end the Management Central server on the AS/400e or iSeries 400 system? A: For R450 and later, the correct way to manually start the Management Central server is to run the OS/400 command STRTCPSVR *MGTC or select start on the Management Central TCP/IP server via Operations Navigator. For R450, this will start the QYPSSRV server job in QSYSWRK. For R510, this will start the QYPSSRV and QYPSJSVR server jobs in QSYSWRK. Object QYPSJDTAQ in library QUSRSYS not found. Object QYPSJDTAQ type *DTAQ created in library QUSRSYS. Management Central connection failed. The connection failed message states to check previously listed messages in the joblog. The message with port 5544 (CPIB9B5) is a severity 40 message. The message I receive on the PC is "Unable to complete connection to central system xxxxx". I have the latest service pack for Client Access (SI02795) and all the required PTF's for OS400 to work with Management Central. Not sure what the CPIB9B5 message means. To me it looks informational. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Jeff Schmehl
