IBM never improved SSP to rewrite how indexed files are processed, at least to my knowledge. The last I worked on a real S/36 was in 1990. But what you do have is an example of a product which openly replaced critical portions of the OS and changed the layout of structures used by the OS. Yet IBM legal did not force them to withdraw the product even though I presume it violated terms of the license agreement for SSP (the OS on the box). I doubt that creates a precedent which can help FAST/400 in court, but you never know... Doug
