I've always thought escrow agents -- for whatever transaction or purpose you use
them for -- should be completely independent with no conflict of interest with
either party.   Would this really qualify?  Was the law firm named Douie,
Cheatum, & Howe?  <g>

And why would it have to be an escrow agent of *their* selection?  What would
happen if you proposed using a different company?
