You could look at the setup on your laptop (ipconfig at a command prompt) and use the values found there. It is possible that your laptop gets its info from a DHCP server - the 400 does not. So put it in manually. 'Next hop' on the 400 is 'Gateway' on XP This assumes your laptop and 400 are on the same subnet (have the same subnet mask).
