The number one reason I get this is user typing error's. After a certain number of invalid sign-on's the screen is varied off. you may wish to review the settings in QMAXSGNACN and QMAXSIGN system values. This is mainly a training issue. Train your user's to sign on carefully. Most don't even look at the screen anymore and don't realize they haven't even signed on yet. Eric Graeb AS/400 Administrator King Optical Group Inc. Why do terminals/PCs get varied off to begin with? And is there a way to reduce or eliminate the number of vary offs? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
