Problem with NetServer is the protocol, and that's not IBM's fault, AFAIK.
The NETBIOS traffic does not get broadcast out of the local segment, so you
don't get to see the 400 in Network Neighborhood if it's in a different
subnet from the one you are in. So you need to play games with IP addresses
or host names.

TELNET, OTOH, is almost always forwarded through whatever router/switch
thingy you have.
