Dan,

1252 is the Windows Latin-1 code page so if you're working with character
data associated with Western European languages then you're most likely OK
(depending on how your client is set up of course).  If there is one ASCII
code page considered "typical/standard" for Western Europe it is probably
819 (ISO 8859-1), but in reality there is no one typical/standard code page
that can be applied universally (at least for ASCII).

Environment:  OS/400 v3r2, CA v3r2, Win98SE

The live code in the CPYTOSTMF uses "StmFCodPag( 1252 )".  How did I come
up
with 1252?  Is that a typical/standard code page for ASCII?
