Sending Mail From the Iseries

We have in the last year or so started to send some mail from our Iseries
to people on our notes server (NT) this works like a charm.  We are now
sending messages from the Iseries to external e-mail addresses and this
works most of the time.  We are having trouble now because it is becoming
more prevalent for e-mail servers to check to see if the sending e-mail
address is valid, and we are not being validated.

Back Ground:
the iseries is using Lotus Notes on an NT box as a mail forwarder.
we use the snddst command to send mail.


I basically have two questions:
1. how do we let the outside world know that the Iseries is a valid e-mail
server?
2. Is there any way for the iSeries, when sending a message, make the
e-mail address appear like it is coming from our notes server?
