Hi, This is not as trivial a task as it may seem. Although the system is very capable of reporting when it is up, it is not capable of reporting when it is down (DOH!). I would take the approach of analyzing QHST, which has a good history of both up and down. If you look further, it also has the detail of normal and abnormal ending of OS/400. This will require me to monitor several jobs and track when they are and are not running and then somehow log them into a database and perform reporting on them to indicate down times and such. Does anyone know of such a tool already designed to perform such a task or what have others used? Any input is appreciated, especially if I do not have to reinvent the wheel.
