As an educated guess, Basic is allowed in *M36 (because everything from the
System/36 ran in *M36 [e.g.: WSU]), but I see no indication in my S/36E
that basic is allowed.  Keep in mind that the last release you can run the
*M36 in is V4R4.

I have a customer who is interested in converting from a 236 to an AS/400
running in either S36e or M36 mode.  Anyone know if the Basic language is
available?
