Dan,

I use the French layout because Dell only ship French AZERTY keyboards, not
Belgian AZERTY on their laptops (I prefer my own pc to work on at the
office).

The IBM pc's at work are Belgian layout.

Peter, I got a chuckle;  you use the French keyboard layout in
Langerbruggestraat?  They don't call it the European Union for nuthin', eh?

Yes, I should have mentioned that I have the white, red, green (normal), and
pink (!) attributes mapped to my keyboard as well.

Along with the Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V, & Ctrl-X, I have defined Ctrl-Z to 'Unmark',
which unmarks any selection that you have on the screen.
