Would polling the PC ona  regular basis work? You could install some kind
of REXECD and set it up to allow a dedicated non-interactive user from
AS/400 to execute a program on the PC. It could be a VB or Access app that
sends back data from a certain date/time.

Or this could have the ftp command, based on a batch-like script, in it.

Client Access has such a server. Win2K/NT have one, but you may need to
install it. It has the drawback that lots of other stuff gets installed
that you probably don't need.

I saw this on the net, at <http://www.denicomp.com/rexecd95.htm>. Cost is
about $40, single license. There's a version for NT.
