determining a tape's blocksize on a *NL tape

Hi,

Here's the short story - A procedure to load recs from a tape went down
recently.
The provider of the tape (mainframe) changed the blocksize from 128 to 0.
With a blocksize of 0,
the program determines the optimum blocksize given a rcdlen of 128.

It's a no-label tape.  How do I determine the blocksize used?
