Well, this was getting too good to pass up, so I called up to W-B to see what's happening. The short story is that due to a recalcitrant city management not wanting to pay for support contract in a timely manner, their support contract was canceled and lapsed. Then they had a DASD failure. And they're still down. Their MIS Mgr says that IBM gave them a worse case scenerio price (he believes) of about $10k. I told him to call Pace-Butler or Diamond Data, buy a used 9632 and get 2 hrs of IBM time to install the thing and start loading back up tomarrow...he should be back hardware wise (if only a single DASD, etc.,) for under $2k. BTW, they ARE using CURRENT Date (were using 1999 for a while then they discovered that V2R1.1 (not a typo!) would support current date...:) Sounds like it's time to replace a mayor and city manager to me folks...:) Don in DC
