Hi Vernon,
        it seemed to me that the Connection tab was missing.  I'm not on
site at present, I'll have another look when I'm on site again next week.
It may be that I need to delete and recreate the line description.

I looked at InfoCenter and saw a reference to a manual migration from V4R5
SLIP to V5R1 in Ops Nav. Don't know details.

Did you go down into the config by pressing enter on the Properties for the
Connection Profile? The Connection tab there has a place to put the line
name, which would be the one that connects to your modem, right?

Haven't done thisyet. But was surprised that clicking OK brought up the
other PPP parameters.
