If I have an SQL program on OS-A and I want it to talk to DBMS-1, then I need driver OS-A/DBMS-1. In order to run with DBMS-2, I need driver OS-A/DBMS-2. To run on another platform, I need ALL the drivers for the various target databases for that platform. Am I starting to understand?
