I stuck a fish in my ear and understood "David Gibbs" <david@midrange.com> to say: > Folks: > > I'm pleased to announce that MIDRANGE-L is now available to be read as > a newsgroup! > > Point your favorite newsreader to > news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.hardware.ibm.midrange and read to your > hearts content. > > For those of you who do not have a news client that understands the > news url, the servers name is news.gmane.org, and the newsgroup is > 'gmane.comp.hardware.ibm.midrange'. > > You still need to be subscribed to the list in order to contribute, but > you can set your subscription options to "No Mail", so you do not > receive each individual messages. > > If MIDRANGE-L is handled well enough, I'll probably start offering > other lists as newsgroups also. > > If you have any questions, feel free to contact me privately. > The clouds parted, the sun shone, singing could be heard from the heavens above and all was good in the world! This is WONDERFUL news (pun intended)! I applaud the change - hooray! Dave And, to add fuel to the fire, I use XNews. Wouldn't change it for anything. It is FREE and can support multiple news servers. Lots of features that I like over Outlook Express. It can be found at http://xnews.3dnews.net/ It really is worth the look!
