You might wish to place a call to your RPG program in a CL program, if for no other reason than to make your life easier. Within that CL program, execute the following before the RPG program: ALCOBJ OBJ((DATAAREA *DTAARA *EXCL)) WAIT(1) MONMSG CPF1002 EXEC(GOTO SKIP_RPG) After the RPG program, execute the following: DLCOBJ OBJ((DATAAREA *DTAARA *EXCL)) If you really wish to avoid CL programming, you can accomplish the same thing by executing the above commands using QCMDEXC or a command API from within the RPG program.
