I've never used it but I did meet one of the main developers at Easysoft who did a talk at my local Linux user group recently. As I understand it there is a beta product of unixODBC that runs in PASE, and he mentioned their intention/desire to rewrite it as a iSeries native product. I can't remember quite where I saw it, but IBM have done some publicity of this ODBC beta for iSeries - if I find the reference I'll post it.
