I have worked on Pick databases.  And they commonly had to be restored
because you started retrieving the wrong records.  And it didn't matter
the hardware - Happened both on PC's and on a Microdata Reality.

not that bad :-)

I have worked with many databases on the PC and Unix for the last
20 or so years and have never had any problems, but then I didn't use
any of Microsoft's databases, Access or SQL-server, or whatever.
