Yes, you can add Text-only strings. Just make sure that the I/O fields there are kept in the same order. You can even hide them. I don't believe you can condition them though (haven't tried that. hmm..). I created a little sign on screen for our scanners, and hid all the fields except for the user name and password, although they could still enter stuff there, it made the screen cleaner (not much space to work in a 20 by 10 screen). As long as I do not condition anything or add fields or remove conditions, etc. I shouldn't level check, right? Just changing around text strings should be okay.
