>Has anyone EVER suffered data corruption >on their 400 business data bases OS/400 nailed one of our very large files on the release where IBM did the database re-write. We had good backups and lost very little, but we did lose some. I have personally seen OS failures damage business data on every single platform I've worked with. I love OS/400, but it's not reasonable to expect that it will never ever never step on your data. That's what backups and commitment control are for. --buck
