Hi,

I should start by clearly stating that my firm is a Lakeview (the
manufacturer of Mimix) Business Partner. So you should understand my bias.

Clearly, the three state of the art solutions for 24 x 7 today is Mimix,
and it's two competitors. Assuming that IBM delivers on their SOD of
libraries in independent ASPs in a future release, you might further
increase your uptime capabilities with a combination of Mimix and
independent ASPs.

When it comes out, we will have to see how good it looks, and is this a
better solution or not.

Hello everybody!

Do somebody know about realy good information source (URL, book, etc.)
about
AS/400 nonstop solutions? I found a lot of "presentaions" in the internet,
but no detailes, refereneces, experieces, success stories.

I have to be en AS/400 nostop solution expert urgently (1 month), in order
to develope the avaliability improuvement project. The solution we use now
is: two i840 + Mimix. Availability - less than 98%. Time down for the
switch
to backup system - 30 min. Don't look acceptable for the bank with 24 hours
service, isn't it?

Thanks a lot for any idea,

Dmitri Efimov
