I agree with Al. I tried using a compressed ASP on my S20 server a while back... Had all kinds of problems. One of the biggest was that WRKDSTSTS reported 20% utilization in the compressed ASP, but the system SRC indicated that the ASP was full. At the time IBM didn't have any advice for me other than to delete some object off the ASP.... Kenneth -- ******************************** Kenneth E. I am at a disadvantage, because I do not have access to a system presently. The SRC's are displayed while the system tried to further compress the ASP. Having tested compressed ASPs, I would suggest that you stay away from them. Al - on the way from Charlotte to New York. Just ran across the CHGASPA command (Change ASP Attributes). It has a parameter that lets you control how overflow is handled. It can be mad to *RETRY or *WAIT. An SRC is displayed (A6xx 0277). So if you direct a group profile to an ASP, you can limit library growth without limiting individual users.
