Thanks, it had this in the error message, but no parms we'll have to try it
next time. We did try it in Ops Nav but to no avail. What we think happen is
that we did a port scan on our network and it hosed our TCP stack, we
bounced on of the AS400 partions that no one was using and starting and
stopping TCP seemed to fix it. We can't do it on production until tonight.
Thanks

Subject: Netserver Stopped

Good timing Eric, This happended to me last week. Call this API to reset
the NetServer (or you can do this by right clicking the NetServer in ops
nav:

 CALL PGM(QZLSSTRS) PARM('1' X'00000000')

The '1' tells it to reset. Passing a '0' in that first parm is how you
would normally restart it through the api. I wrote a little CL routine that
tries to start it, if it encounters an error than it does the reset. Email
me if you want a copy of the program.

We just had our Netserver stop and now it won't start, gets error code 5 -
Start of the NetBIOS over TCP/IP failed with return code 3418.

5 - Start AS/400 NetServer with the reset option using the Start Server
(QZLSSTRS) API. If the problem continues, restart TCP/IP with the End
TCP/IP (ENDTCP) and Start TCP/IP (STRTCP) commands. Note: This may
affect
other users. When TCP/IP is active, start AS/400 NetServer with the reset
option using the Start Server (QZLSSTRS) API. If the problem continues,
  contact your service provider.

Any clues?
