Hello,

Basis:
Model 170
V5R1M0
Domino 5.0.9
Using OS/400 SMTP and MSF because of native apps sending emails.
Private IP address behind a firewall that does NAT with port 25 mapped
to the AS/400.

I had the system set to block Mail Relay for anything off the local
net under V4R5M0 but when I upgraded to V5R1M0 I missed that it needs
to be re-implemented. Some spammer found our system (of course) and
started to abuse it. I have gone back to Ops-Nav and set SMTP to relay
for only the local network addresses. I have also done a clear on MSF
and a clean on SMTP.

However, Domino shows an item bouncing between MSF and it, that is
addressed to cnscott@ambidji.aust.com from orraz@xbox.jp that I can't
seem to get a hold of long enough to delete it. When I ping
ambidji.aust.com it comes back as the loop back address even when I
checked it with nslookup. How do I stop this junk from: 1) getting in
and 2) looping back and forth now that it has gotten in?

Also, when I ran a test from abuse.net Test #11 where it uses RCPT
TO:<"relaytest@abuse.net"@tested.com> the AS400 seemed to accept it.

Thanks

Roger Vicker, CCP

It's not where we stand, but in what direction we are moving that is
