Mike, You could try monitoring disk/storage usage at regular intervals, or buy software to do this & page you. We have a morning menu that issues this command below to show ASP threshold errors; DSPLOG ??PERIOD((*AVAIL *CURRENT) (*AVAIL *CURRENT)) ??OUTPUT(*) ??MSGID(CPI0953 CPI0954 CPI1138 CPI1139) I check this twice daily & if an ASP has exceeded threshold - or overflowed into the system ASP, it lists these occurences. I then have to run a few utilities to identify the overflowed objects & challenge the programmer to justify the size or clear it down. It is Always a large outfile... & they have always taken too large a subset of a live file. Just as a program dump here is almost always subscript-out-of-range.
