I am working with PEX traces. I have one set up with the OSEVT (operating
system events). The one I am using is *DBIO, which is for logical data I/O.
There is information in the record (file QAYPEMIUSR) that is very helpful.

In the following, the data starts at position 11. 11-14 (or 13) is the
operation (PUT, in this case)  Then comes the file name, (15-24), library
(25-34), then 4 blanks, then format (39-48),  then 12 bytes that look like
various integers, then 6 blanks, then a bunch of nulls, then more blanks
(to the end of the field).

Does anyone know where to find the layout of this data? And the other
'hidden' treasures of PEX? There is a page at IBM that gives a little
(mostly the list of events with a little explication), but details are not
easily found. Of course, we're not 'supposed' to want to look at the raw
data, we're supposed to use Performance Tools reporting functions. ;-(
