Yea - feel kinda silly - the first console was turned off by the secretary lady . Doh. Anyways, we turned it on and got a menu and we chose 01 to perform IPL. After a little bit the console kicked us to an IBM login and we logged in as QSECOFR. It went through some message screen and then asked us if we wanted to load anything (we F3 exited out) and then we were prompted to set the date and we hit enter and now we are waiting For future reference since I have a buttload of these cards to install - do I need to go into manual mode before I do the install on these network cards? If so, how is the proper way to come back up after shutting down in manual mode? -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:midrange-l-admin@midrange.com] On Behalf Of Leif Svalgaard Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2002 7:52 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: Turning AS400 back on From: Rosewood <rosewood@chat.ru> > A6005004 is on the machine reading right now and the consoles just > have a cursor on the upper left > > All we did was hit the white button when we got plugged back in > > And all we did to power off was go into manual mode and then PWRDWNSYS > Find a cable to your console and plug it in. (This may be non-trivial if your console is a PC with Client Access). _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
