In response to the tidal wave of interest created by my original post about being unable to access Info Center, here's the cure: It may be the plug in incompatibility described below. In the IE "Advanced Options" panel I unchecked "Use Java 2 v1.40 for <applet> " and everything worked as well as it had before. <g> IBM sent the following response: We are not seeing the problem you describe here. Have you tried clearing your cache/restarting your browser in the past week that you have been unable to see the navbar? What are you seeing in the java console? (View->Java Console) If you don't have the java console in the menu, you can enable it by choosing tools->Internet Options, then selecting the advanced tab, and scrolling down until you see Microsoft VM. Make sure you check the "Java console enabled (requires restart)" option. Then close all instances of your browser, and retry. Another possible cause of your troubles is if you have installed the java plugin. The applet we have in v4r5/v5r1 does not work well with the java plugin. If you have installed the java plugin, you can disable it by going to the same dialog mentioned above, and looking for a java plugin option (the wording differs depending on where you got the plugin from) Uncheck the java plugin. Close your browser window(s), and try again.
