I don't have a copy of the old PAG (Problem Analysis Guide), but IIRC the first 4 hex digits (in this case, 1041 ) represent the IBM hardware code of the failing part. The rest of the info is for diagnosing the specifics. So if you WRKHDWRSC or WRKHDWPRD you should be able to browse through your hardware to find a 1041 and see the description of what had the problem. Note however, that it could possibly be something else that actually caused this part to have the problem.
