There used to be a book that came with the CISC box that listed lots (all?)
of the various SRC codes that can be displayed when you get the dreaded
yellow light (the System Attention light). It seems that it's not in the
Publib any more. If memory serves, it used to be the Problem Determination
Guide. All that I can find now is a high level table with a dozen or two
entries for the more common ones - disk failure, out of disk space, etc.

I had a dead stop failure on my old E45 the other day. Stopped dead in it's
tracks and the SPCN killed power to the rack. The code was 11-2 1041 502B.
I rebooted and it happened again. I was able to get back up and running
with a manual IPL. Since then it's been OK. I appeared that it stopped so
abruptly that some records in a buffer (or maybe the disk cache) never got
written to disk. Since the manual IPL and a subsequent normal IPL, it's
been fine. I'm rerunning the same jobs that were running when it died,
except last time I was testing the Ethernet card by running some batch jobs
doing PINGs and FTPs in a loop. Perhaps that was the ultimate cause...

The other odd thing is that I couldn't pull up any other SRC codes. Usually
you scroll through 11-3, 12-2, etc. This was the only one. I didn't even
have the option to ipl from the panel. I had to power down and back on.

Does anyone have an electronic copy of this manual?
