Java converts all that AS/400 stuff into unicode automatically (from what I've been told). Would you like some fries with that order? I am reasonably aware of what is involved. I have accessed the IBM PartnerWorld for Developers DBCS web site. http://www.iseries.ibm.com/developer/dbcs/index.html I know UNICODE (UCS-2) is not DBCS but it looks like a reasonable alternative. Does anyone have AS400 running UNICODE. If so, would you like to e-mail me directly, I would appreciate learning from your experiences. I understand the 5250 data streams do not support UNICODE, so what do you do regarding device support.
