Crytpo Processor

Does any one have / use a cryptographic processor in their AS400?  How much
will this off load SSL communication overhead from the main CPU?  I have a
model 400 which take 20-90 seconds to INZ the SSL plus 4-20 seconds to
process the transaction.  Our 720 is under a second and the 170 is 10-20
seconds for INZ and 1-1.5 for the transaction.

I will have to upgrade the power supply in the 400 to support the processor.
The 170 needs an expansion cabinet to support the IOP to support the Crypto.
( we were out bid on e-bay for those used 170's ;-( )

Any experience, positive or negative will be much appreciated.
