I developped a tool to convert in pdf format. Its ok for that. List are short (1 and 3 seconds) Ok too. I assume your client is looking for something like WRKSPLF, but that will return the spoolfiles in PDF format. The problem is that your spoolfiles are not stored as PDF documents, but as spoolfiles. Do you realize it could take a long time to convert the spoolfile to PDF? Depending on system load and spoolfile size, it could take many minutes to convert. Do you want your user session to just "hang" while the conversion is going on? If, on the other hand, your reports are short, why not convert them right away? Have an automatic step in your report programs that converts the spoolfile to PDF when the report is complete. Add the name of new PDF document to a database file, and then write your own "WRKPDFSPLF" command. Joe
